My petter 1 1/2 hp cistern top or Benford top.This engine is a vz model petrol/parrafin and was a standby for electrical motors in a boiler room in a hospital, although alot were supplied to benfords for use in cement mixers it was specially designed by Petter of yeovil so the operater could fill the water hopper without dismantling the mixer and so the engine would fit in the protective cabinet,cement dust is very corrosive and sand and bearings are not a good combination hence the company of Petters went to great efforts to supply a suitable engine which was both practical and protected from the abrasive raw materials it was in close contact with.Date 1937
