A View Inside A Readymix Concrete Drum

A View Inside A Readymix Concrete Drum Tube. Duration : 0.55 Mins.

Readymix concrete trucks have a drum on the back which have a spiral inside. When rotated in one direction, the concrete is drawn down into the bottom of the drum which then flows back towards the charging/discharge hole mixing the concrete and preventing it setting. When the drum turns in the opposite direction, the spiral winds the concrete from the bottom of the drum out the hole into the discharge chute. This particular machine is not mounted on a vehicle but is on a building site ready to supply concrete via a pump into pile holes
